با ادب و احترام، شايد آگاهي يافته باشيد كه مركز اطلاعات و مدارك اسلامي وابسته به معاونت پژوهشي دفتر تبليغات اسلامي در ايران اقدام به تدوين اصطلاح نامههاي اورژينال نموده و تاكنون اصطلاح نامههاي فلسفه اسلامي، علوم قرآني، اصول فقه، كلام اسلامي، منطق را منتشر كرده است. علوم حديث و اخلاق اسلامي در حال نشر است و تدوين اصطلاح نامه فقه را آغاز نموده و در سه شاخه ديگر نيز طراحي و اقدام مينمايد.
در اين اصطلاح نامهها كه به زبان فارسي تدوين ميشود از استاندارد بين المللي ايزو 2788 پيروي شده و از سوي دفتر يونسكو در ايران نيز تقديرنامهاي دريافت نموده است.
چون شما در اين مسايل صاحب نظريد و از تجربه موفقي بهرهمند هستيد و ما نيز از آثار ارزش مند شما همواره استفاده كردهايم به خصوص براي نمايه سازي از كتاب «Indexing and abstracting in theory and practice» خيلي بهره جستهايم. و با توجه به اين كه اين اصطلاح نامهها به زبانهاي عربي و انگليسي نيز آماده ميشود(چون كشورهاي عربي هم تابحال در اين باره اقدام نكردهاند) خوشحال ميشوم كه از نظرات جديد و راهنماييهاي شما استفاده كنيم تا در اين موسسه با همفكري بيشتر بتوانيم در جهت اطلاع رساني ساخت يافته گامي برداريم.
ü براي تاثير گذاري اصطلاح نامه در نظام مبتني بر متنهاي تخصصي چه راه كاري ارائه ميدهيد؟
ü براي تاثير گذاري از اصطلاح نامههاي ساخت يافته و كاملا تخصصي در بازيابي فايلها و متنهاي ديجيتالي و الكترونيكي مواد اطلاعاتي به خصوص كتاب چه پيشنهادي داريد؟
ü اصطلاح نامهها در تجزيه و تحليل و بازيابي متنها به صورت خودكار چگونه ميتوانند به كار آيند؟

Dear professor Lancaster,
Maybe, you have heard that Islamic Documentation and Information Center (IDIC) affiliated to Islamic Propagation Office (Qom-Iran) has begun to construct original thesauri and some have been published including thesauri on Islamic Philosophy, Quranic Sciences, Jurisprudence and Logic. In addition, thesauri of Narrations and Islamic Ethics are being published. These thesauri are in Persian on the basis of ISO 2788. It is notable that UNESCO has awarded such a great work. Because you are treated as a pioneer and theorist in this field and we have highly made use of your valuable works especially "Indexing and abstracting in theory and practice" and also these thesauri mentioned above are being constructed as multilingual ones (in addition to Persian language, they need to be constructed using English and Arabic Languages) – and because Arabic countries have not already done such a work – I and my colleagues will be pleased if we are given your helpful opinions and guidance so that we can take a step forward to the organization of our information services.
- In order to use thesauri in systems which are based specialized text, what is your solution or recommendation?
- In order to use organized and specialized thesauri in retrieving digital and electronic texts of information resources particularly books, what is your suggestion?
- How we can apply thesauri in analyzing and retrieving text in automatic form?
